I have to monitoring corrosion of pressure vessel in service. Could you please advise if there is any code or recommend practice to apply the matrix of wall thickness measurement? For instance, what location I should carry out messurement and is there any mandatory requirement?

Thank you very much in advacne for any of your comment.

Best regards,

Presumably the item is on annual or 14-month inspection - has this detail been discussed with the Engineer-Surveyor of the vessel's Insurance Company? That would be a good source of advice.

American Petroleum Institute (API) has a whole series of recommended practices (RP) used worldwide on vessel inspections. The latest RP is called risk based inspection. There is no need to inspect every vessel every year and some need to inspect some vessels more often. As owner operator you have choices of what to and when to inspect vessels.
