The man who came back from 2036

05/22/2008 3:48 AM

Hi guys, recently Italian television talked about John Titor, the man who came from 2036. I had never heard about him and I am so curious to know if there is something true or it is just a story somebody invented to sell a book! What do you think about?

Italian television paid a detective to find John Titor's family, but there is no one trace of them.

In an internet forum, John Titor, talked about the future and the creation of a time machine at CERN in Geneva. Some physics confirmed that theorically it is possible to time travel but it could be necessary an enormous quantiy of energy, impossible to find nowadays.

Titor talked about Millennium bug, according his story He saved the world by that; before to come in 2036 again John Titor was talking about the World War III that will happen in 2015...I cross my fingers hoping that everything is just fantasy!

Falls off chair laughing...

Saved us from the millenium bug...That was about as scarey as this..

Actually I'm from 2037 and I can tell you it's tosh... I knew Portsmouth would win the FA Cup... I could have bet heavilly on it and made a fortune but I didn't want to disrupt the space time continuum.

Maybe you are right... the only problem is that John Titor said him to be American from Tampa Florida!

Amazing to know that JOHN is a name already in use in the future. Pray, who took that name to the future?

"John talks about a civil war being started between the Democrats and Republicans. Later, this escalates into WW3 and he mentions that it is a good thing for ..."

Hm, time to change the psychotropic drug cocktail.

Oh, Wikipiedia has a fascinating story on "John".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor

I like the prediction that CERN would bring the Large Hadron Collider online in 2001 and that is when time travel will be invented.

More recent posts by "John" state that the LHC becomes operational in 2008 and that is when time travel will be invented.

I can only assume that the 7-year delay in the predicted start time was due to schedule slips.

Since John has knowledge of the future, I have only one question; why is it that 1-800-Psychics never call us?

I am chalking this up to another Rut-Ro episode in the annals of time...

Whoops, did I say annals; I meant anals.

Could time travel invent itself?

If John Titor really came back, wouldn't he have the brains to bring alone winning Lotto numbers, game scores, ( ala BTF), cool inventions, etc?

Did I get caught up in the wrong timeline again?

In supposition if this Mr T said a true: between 2008- 2015 the mankind shall be able to get enormous source of energy and manufacture TM as mass product. Hardly!

I did not consider period after 2015 as I'm sharing a viewpoint of Einstein who said that he does not know what exactly weapon could be applied in WWIII but for WWIV it shall be certainly cudgels and stones. I am sorry it is not exact quote, but the main point is here.

So to determine this TV broadcast as fantasy is very very politically correct. BS.

It seems that nobody have never heard about John before of now! It's really sad but true: Italians are the only people that can take in consideration those kind of stories; that's why soap opera was born in US but is still surviving just thanks us!

I never heard about this yes, but I tried to get logically based arguments in my reply to your post. So I could be wait the same good proved counterarguments. Nevertheless I accept your arguments with references to soap opera and etc., though its barely strong.

I respect Italian nation and though I never been there I state that as everywhere some part of Italian people can "take in consideration this kind of stories", some is indifferent and there is part who does reject its completely. Every part is at their right to do so.

My BS remarks had been directed just to concrete broadcasting program but in noway toward you personally, your people and your national TV a whole.

I did (and doing) so much mistakes in my life and I had been failed in my posts here as well. I try to learn myself and make proper conclusions from that. But people here are very intelligent and friendly at all. CR4 helps me profoundly in my self-education. Wish you the same.

caramba

P.S. Notorious "Problem 2000" affects on engineers as a red rag affects the bull. Study CR4 threads to find out such a risky topics whether for shunning ones ever or for preparing in tiny details your thread entries.
