Bearing Grease

05/30/2008 9:14 AM

Can anyone help me with bearing grease. I am working on a project for an automatic lubrication system and would like to know the ideal amount of grease & frequency required per bearing. The bearings are SKF 5311 size, in a pump running 1750 rpm pumping sulfric acid (not in contact) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Why not ask SKF?

This company is one of if not the biggest bearing manufacturer and they have all necessary informations due to their very broad and deep research.

They could be the best source for the information you need.

From the field:

Contact Applied IND. Technologies they have a grease canister that screws into you grease Zerk fitting and you choose the rate of flow to the bearing. They are trick and work great. The company was called something else but Applied bought up a lot of bearing house across the country.

If you can not find them email me direct and I will have someone contact you direct.

Thanks

if you wont an auto greaser you should contact Texas Crushers System @888-579-2139. Ask for A. T. or Eileen Thrasher, We should have some in stock, if not take about two days to have ready to ship.

Use Schaeffer #02742 bearing grease. It will double the life of the bearing.

Call American Industrial Resources @ (440) 759-7257. They handle all types of grease delivery systems. They also design, install and service industrial accounts accross the US. Their charges are also very reasonable.
