05/31/2008 3:20 AM

Many of the signal conditioning vendors in India are using Phoenix Contact casings. Are these polyamide casings fire retardant? Can you name some more FRLS compounds?

There is a contact listing on their web site. Contact them directly and I'm sure you'll get the info you need.

Or just look up polyamides.

Polyamide 6-6 - Nylon 6-6 - PA 6-6 Fire Retardant
Polyamide 6/6 fire retardant, also known as nylon 6/6 fire retardant exhibits excellent resistance to flame and fire. Relative advantages, disadvantages and applications are listed together with a table of typical properties.

Phoenix Contact uses UL-V0 FR rated PA66 materials for most of their terminal blocks and connectors.
