Can someone please tell me what should be the lagging extension required for the threaded thermowell if the process connection is threaded and the line insulation thickness is 1".

It will depend on what type of sensor you are using??

Just like the insertion length is known as "U" dimension,the lagging extension is designated at least in US is designated as "T".

You specify the "T" dimension as 1".

If you are using this thermowell for inserting a thermometer then be carefull because thermometers are only available in standard length.

THere is no problem if you are going to an RTD or thermocouple.

Thank you for the mail and the link you had sent.

I had reffered the pdf doc..

Reffering the doc i should take t as 1" for 1" insulated line right ?. plz correct me if i am wrong.
