Printing E-mail from Outlook

06/03/2008 4:48 AM

Hi,

Whenever I try to print an e-mail from outlook I get text error on line whatever and no print, I currently swipe hit copy and paste to word were I can print with no problem what so ever. I assume it is an outlook setup problem, because when I access my private mail on BT internet.com all is fine.

Thanks for reading

Hello exemmet, I don't have that problem with Outlook 2007, but what are the specifics? OS, Outlook version, Printer, Lan wifi or usb, and anything else you think could be relevant.

Thanks

Brad

Hello exemmet:,

I have OE 2003, and the full Office 2003.

When I copy a web page to outlook express, the same thing sometimes happens to me.

I put it down to the language used to build the site, which just possibly may have a bug or error? That is only a guess! So if someone can answer this it will also help me. Like you, if I copy it to Word, I get no errors.

Actually I also have a problem:

I hope you do not mind me using your post to ask my query as well?

The whole screen goes black for about a second some times.

And, it is the tool bar and address bar and file section on the left of outlook express which goes black at other times. Often the black goes away in a couple of seconds. But if it stays black, I have to reboot, which clears it. Has anyone any ideas on that for me please? I am still able to use the files and icons, if I can recall where they are!

Sounds like a graphics issue, can you check if there is a newer graphics driver available?

Hello Nigh,

with ref' to my screen turning black...................

I replaced the ATI application a few months ago, but it made no difference, and the screen still turns totally black maybe twice an hour. It usually puts itself right but perhaps three times a week I have to reboot to get back to a normal screen.

I use Kaspersky Internet Security 7, and, Ad-Aware 2007, and also have Windows Security Center.

jfmfit,

Are you using an HP or Compaq notebook? They are having some similar issues and they are doing free repair of systems that have certain faults, up to two years out of warranty. I just got an HP update notice marked urgent, turns out I'd already updated my bios months ago. Screen blacking out was one of the symptoms.

Hello U V,

thanks for getting back to me.

I have a desktop home designed and built computer. Not a laptop.

I do not know if HP use the same Motherboard. I doubt it mine being a desktop.

Can you either send me HP's report or tell me what they suggest. It just might work?

Take care..............

They only listed a recall type repair or a bios download for each listed model.

Sorry, not much help. HP has put a ADDWARE install program on my system after I did a custom install to not install it. Now every time I boot it trys to install. Pisses me off to no end because I can't find the program to delete it in Vista. HP is probably tired of me telling them so too.

Re: Printing E-mail from Outlook

Hello U V,

I have window XP including sp1 and sp2 updates. I have not checked but, may also have sp3 automatically downloaded.

My motherboard is Abit KD-7

Athlon 2800+ Barton CPU.

ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128DDR Graphics card.

As far as I know a laptop has a different kind of motherboard to a desktop so that could put it out of the equation?

I am going to ask a question, please take no offence OK?

I have XP. But, do you actually know where to go to un-install the ADDWARE install program? Because if not I could try to find out for you?

I will un-install my ad-Aware to see if it could be the problem. I don't see any correlation to the black screen starting and the installation of the Ad-Aware though.

Take care

Re: Printing E-mail from Outlook

Hello U V,

Just to make things clear, I do not have any adware. I do have a programmes called "Ad-Aware 2007" and "Ad-Watch 2007". These work very well to remove common intrusions of adware, banners, and hi-jackers.

Can you see the programme you want to remove on the "All Programmes" list?

On some of my programmes and, in particular on my Ad-Aware 2007 on my "All Programmes", going through the hierarchies of the programme there is a click-able part called "un-install Ad-Aware 2007". I have listed the info below that may be useful.

You say the Install addware programme was on the computer when you got it, is that correct? Can you tell me the exact name of the programme you have tried to un-install please?

You can uninstall a program from your computer if you no longer use it or if you want to free up space on your hard disk.

You can use Programs and Features to uninstall programs or to change the program's configuration by adding or removing certain options.

1.

Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.

2. Select a

program, and then click Uninstall. Some programs include the option to change or repair the program in addition to uninstalling it. but many simply offer the option to uninstall. To change a program, click Change or Repair. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Take care...........

Hey jfmfit,

I've looked in all the usual places and some hidden ones too. Thought I caught it in the Task Manager Processes but after decrypting all the non legible names it was not it. What irks me most is on start up it tries to install twice not just once. I'll figure it out.

I'm a little rusty but my problem is a new OS, time will sort it out

Maybe you should let it install then un-install it?

When I copy a web page to outlook express, the same thing sometimes happens to me.

On the file menu select "import and export" and set it up right.

Has this problem always occured or did Outlook work properly (used to be able to print) and then stop printing.

If it has never worked I would remove Outlook and reinstall Outlook?

The PST file (which saves your outloos settings and email) will not be overwritten when you reinstall Outlook; but I would still make back-up copies just in case.

Good luck.

Simply, just go on File and select print. (File<Print)

From here you can print your mail items.

Good Luck
