Remote areas need gas ( Bio or LPG ) or kerosene fired refrigerator. Some inputs I could see from surmil and arunavamukerji. what is the present status? Is somebody making it again?

You can buy propane or kerosene powered refrigerators from Dometic Corp, sold under the brand name Servel.

Does any one have input as to whether the Servel unit can be modified to use either agricultural methane, or pure solar (maybe via Fresnel or parabolic concentrator)?

The refrigeator in my RV runs off propane, 12 VDC, and 110 VAC.

I think that you only need a controllable heat supply directed to the heat chamber.

Chakraborty Ranabir, If I am not mistaken Sunfrost.com would be a good place to start. They have been around at least since the mid-sixties.
