to fully comply with ESD standards is it necessary to have painted walkways with ESD paint in your stockroom. And is it also necessary to have the bins painted the same, considering that all product is in ESD packaging?
I don't know what "ESD Standards" you're referring to, but I would want ESD bins in my stockroom. I don't think you'd paint them though, just replace them with ESD plastic, or metal.
No NO.. if you are wearing a KrisDelTM anti-gravity backpack they can be a real lifesaver .
(Yeh... I was presupposing an industrial concrete floor which would be pretty good...maybe hes's got rubber or those carpet tiles that charge you up to umopteen kV as you walk about )

I was a little concerned about ESD in our new lab space - which was designed as a machine shop probably 40 years ago. But then I realized that the floors were solid steel. So now I'm just worried about getting electrocuted.
ESD earthing requires raisers from the ground and the copper straps to be laid in the floor and epoxy painting over it . This will give effective grounding.
In the entrance of ESD; Explosives Areas [Godowns, Sheds ] thick Conductive Plastic flaps, approx 6-8In wde, overlapped an inch or so, are hanging & every-body entering have to make way by bare hands. Flaps are properly earthed to discharge any ES developed on body. It is understood that NO SYNTHETICs worne by workers.
Their dress checked with ESD Tester & Shoes are ESD compliant.
