Mechanical Engineering

Can anyone help me find where the fields of Mechanical Engineering might be found at. I am looking to enter the field and would like to know what my options are so that I can start tenuring my current for/study for it.

It might be best to telephone a few Universities and Colleges locally and ask each of them for a prospectus.
