There should be a PID function block, and details of how to configure it will be in the S7 manual.

Hi asecawy,

I just emailed a number of manuals and other info to you. Perhaps it maybe of use, if not then you can simply delete.

You will probably find more information and possibly more relevant information than this if you spend sometime going through the website that I pointed out in a previous response.

Let us know how you get on.

Kind Regards

Mr. W.A. Snow

in step use "CONT_C" control blocks. if you want bumpless auto/manual switchover then you need to write a bit of prog to make the manual data register track the auto register when the block is in auto and remember that all inputs are ranged 0 to 100. The ranging of the feedforward also needs thinking about.

Hi, I am working now with FB58 and it works fine, but it is not bumpless, even though the manual said the integral action and derivative action are set and synchronized internally to provide bumpless manual/auto transfer.

How do I "write a bit of prog to make the manual data register track the auto register when the block is in auto"..... The bump also appears when the controller is reset (OB100 do a complete restart of the FB58, so the PID is in manual every time the PLC is restarted) and is changed manually to auto.

Thanks a lot in advanced for any help.

Marisol :)
