	Can i consider same cable ampacity and R & X value for AC & DC application for a given 2 core cable size? I have already taken care about the various cable derating factor related with cable laying formation, ambient temperature, short circuit etc.

	The cabe cross section and the conductor material matters for AC or DC Current to be carried in the cable. There no specifc reason to confine a particulr size for ac & d c applications. N.Suresh

	Assumed you mean, equivalent, not equal, AC and DC values.
