Define what your cost per hour is to run the machine. This can include overhead as well as amortized costs of the IMM. Operator and benefit costs are added to this too. Your 'bean head' can define this amount. Divide how many parts per hour you make into your machine cost/hr. Add the individual material cost for each preform along with it's share of a runner system. If you have a hot runner then forget about the runner share costs. This total is your basic cost/preform.
