The price tag is great if you live in Europe. It is only the exchange rate that makes it look expensive. Idiots have been paying that much for pickup trucks here in America for years. Take a $12,000 pick-up , cover the box, call it a SUV and sell it for base price $55,000.

If the North American auto industry had any brains, they could easily compete with this for a better price, and performance.

But if they had any brains or vision, we would have been driving something like this 10 to 15 years ago when the impending oil depletion was first brought to the notice of the public.

Apparently the love and worship of money has nothing to do with brains, long term plans, or logic...... only instant gratification, and loss of humanity

Apparently the North American auto industry can't compete, they have to buy the brains from other countries.

Tata Motors, India's largest automaker is set to start producing the world's first commercial air-powered vehicle. The Air Car, developed by ex-Formula One engineer Guy Nègre for Luxembourg-based MDI, uses compressed air, as opposed to the gas-and-oxygen explosions of internal-combustion models, to push its engine's pistons. Some 6000 zero-emissions Air Cars
are scheduled to hit Indian streets in August of 2008.
