Bob C.- Thx! That's just what I wanted! I see their 6" PVC Ball Valve has many features I was hoping for. It comes with flanges, with which I am unfamiliar, so I will next research solvent socket weld PVC flanges to mate with it in my pipeline. Thx again, you've made my day.

If you are in need of SW PVC Ball Valves you could try Spears MFG at

flyinghigh note that these 6" valves are all venturied styles. These use a 4" or 3" body with bushings to 6" size.

In their standard series you are correct, the 6" size is venturied to a 4" ball. However, in the TU2000 series, the 6" is full size and the 8" is venturied to a 6" ball.

Good morning jmueller, yes, that is the way the Hayward True Union Ball Valve reads for their 1/4 to 6" ball valves; i.e., Full Port Design.

6" full port ball valves no tru union styles from any manufacturer. Just molded in place "mips" by Spears "Utility" valve or Cepex MIP valve. These are throw away styles. Most contractors use butterfly valve with gear operator. Not familiar with the Hayward TU2000.

roadapple-

That is a Spears TU2000 series, which is a true-union type and full bore, according to their data sheet. I also checked with Asahi-America, which is full-bore only to 2", so no help there.

Hi roadapple, the Hayward True Union Ball Valve description states its a "Full Port Design", which hopefully means its ID is the same as the ID of the 6" IPS pipe.
