Can anyone recommend a chemical etch for plastic surfaces?

07/02/2008 3:17 PM

I'd like to replace our plasma etch process for overmolding a polyurethane part with a chemical etch but I can't find one that is recommended for plastic surfaces other than a fluoropolymer. The part we are overmolding is a polyurethane component. Does anyone know of a readily available chemical etch that I can try out?

Thanks

Hello KenRPerkins

If you refer to: http://www.polyurethane.org/s_api/index.asp and ask them, I am sure they would have an answer for you.

Use the webform here: http://www.polyurethane.org/s_api/sec_contact.asp?CID=832&DID=3445

And enter your problem.

Advise your progress, or lack of it, with

Kind Regards....
