Need a manufacturer for wearable pendant timer/vibrator

07/03/2008 3:04 AM

I am looking for a company that makes or can manufacture a wearable timer that vibrate at set intervals, 5-6 settings, on/off switch, about the size of a 50 cent piece. This would be a wrist or pendant item. Does anyone know where I could obtain such an item or who might make it for me?

Hi there, I know the suppliers here in ShenZhen (China) which can make this type of timer for you. If you have reference pictures or more details, you may send e-mail to me carlgu@gmail.com, you'll get what you want then.

Cheers, Carl Gu from ShenZhen, China

My first thought was: Why does they not use their cellphones? My SonyEricsson can store 5 different alarms of which each can repeat at any day of the week, with or w/o sound and with vibration.

The vibration however is sort of uncontrolled. It goes severa times on and off but cannot produce vibration patterns and will maybe stop after a certain time to preserve accu energy.

Maybe using a cell phone would be a good device for a first try to define the vib-pattern and other needs for the specifications, especially if no cellulario can be found which fits all needs.

The item I need would need to be unobtrusive and silent. Also the fact that it is being worn would not be obvious. Also just a simple one time vibration would be necessary. This would be for the purpose of getting the wearers attention only.

A cell phone would be too obvious. Thanks however for the suggestion it is considerate of you to take your time to respond.
