Light-saving-by-Pakistan-Govt

07/06/2008 8:15 PM

Kind regards !

Our Govt has recently shifted to light-saving without a thougt as was done some years back & reverted to the PST after a year with info to public that instead of saving a loss of energy faced in year.

Before that by Govt of Ms BeNazir Bhuto decided to go to Light-Saving but cancelled @ 11th hour

[Just @ 11:00 PM] due to the fact that Technocrats after this mess were not sure to advannce or reverse by an hour.

Now problem I am looking is:

I simply adjusted PC's time by 1 hr.

I noticed after some days that time has come back. I thought some of kids has adjusted again to PST.

I adjusted it it again, but noticed today the same happening.

I thought for some time & come to the fact that I should change

My Time-Zone of +6 hrs where Dhaka & Astana are. As PAKISTAN is not included in the list using light-saving.

& NO_BODY knows when its reversion will take place.

And PC comes back after each restart which is at least 6 to 8 times in aday due to heavy load-sheddings.

I put this for the info of PAKISTANIs what they may have not noticed.

Time-Records of my documents after implemetation is ...

I dont know how to keep my PC Syc in time.

Thanks

Hello Guest,

If your PC is a recent one, or you are using WinXP or later, there is a clock setting which auto-updates to a pre-selected on-line Internet Atomic clock.

Periodically, your PC thus checks the PC time against the Internet Time Server, and adjusts the PC time setting, to comply.

If you go to the Clock at the right-hand of the System Tray (Bottom Right Hand of the Monitor Screen), left click on it, a small window pops up, and click on the "Internet Time" Tab.

Untick the "Automatically synchronise with an Internet Time Server" - Please Note it is ticked in the picture.

Left Click on OK.

Your PC will now not check against an Internet Time Server.

What has happened, is that Intenational Internet Atomic Clocks have not been advised of your Government's recent changed Light-saving alteration.

Trust you have been assisted.

Kind Regards....

Don't know much about computers but the rolling black-outs in Sukkur, Pakistan (where I am right now) have really been fun. especially with the 50c days.

I can't wait till our drilling rig is on location and our camp is up and running with our own AC.

Best of luck

With kind Regards !

This is not the 1st time they are making fool of the public.

What the play they are doing please SEE:

******************************

I think that you all remember this was tried by 2 regimes:

BB's regime cancelled at the 11th hour; as the so-called "Techno-crats" dyeing-hard to implement were confused about shifting the clock ahead or reverse.

In the 2nd regime it was implemented on the 1st of April [1st April Fools] at 12:00 Night without knowing when & at what time to be changed.

It remained effective for 1 year; [GOD Blessed] & cancelled all this nuisance on the report of EXPERTS that in stead of saving lot of power loss was the result of this "Fashion".

Now again the "TECHNOCRATS" are in the field with new approach:

Though in that time an IT MOST-IMPORTANT Authority said that "TECHNOCRATS" recommend it.

To which I replied to SEE a WIZARD of "TECHNOCRATS" look for the Speed-Limits set for trucks marked

on the hinf trucks :::

48.28 KM / hour as in conversion to metric-system by "TECHNOCRATS" in Field-Marshal's era from MPH to

KM/Hour.

Buses were lucky enough as their conversion came to be 65 KM/H

Now the game will start on 1st June in stead of 1st April.

We will go to the +6 hours GMT Zone & come back to +5 hour GMT Zone in winter.

Advance by 1 hour:

All offices, schools etc etc will open 1 hour early:

Instead of saving rather shift the energy use to the morning.

The second blunder is to get the shopping-centres to close 1 hour early by advancing the time ????

Can't an Order be isuued to colse @ 8PM without disturbing [if it can be done for 9PM by advancing time].

Nothing is done the EASY-WAY in Pakistan.

Regards !!!

Now the latest "WISDOM" by the new regime:

the period is extended till 31st Oct. What a wisdom to save Electricity ?

Working times are 08:00 AM

Sun rise is now just after 07:00 AM

So every body should get-up at least 2 hours before it.

By the endof Oct sunrise will be nearly 08: ++.

This is way of making fool of public !!!!!

And reversion will be on 31st Oct [I assume @ 01:00AM as usual].

31st will come twice in this year in Pakistan.

And time will be changed on a working day !!!!

Hello Haajee

What confusion must reign in your locality.

Perhaps things may get back to normal, hopefully soon.

Changing time on a full working day is not regarded as a wise idea.

Kind Regards....
