Upgrading Computer RAM

Hi there, i wanted to upgrade my laptop from 2x 512mb ddr2 pc2-4200 533mhz to 2x 1gb ddr2 pc2-4200 533mhz. is't possible.

Go to http://www.crucial.com/ and scan your laptop.......will let you know if you can even upgrade to 2g....also prices are not too shabby..........you can shop around for your requirements......

i had 2x 512mb ddr2 pc2-4200 533mhz, i wanted to upgrade to 2x 1gb ddr2 pc2-5300 667 mhz is't possible, worth it?.

it is possible only if your motherboard supports the higher speed. as the guest above has mentioned, use an online scanner to determine what your computer can handle, and go from there.

I also need some help...

I use an IBM Thinkpad 365XD. There is a 8 MB RAM on the motherboard and additional 16 MB in an extension slot. I use OS/2 but 24 MB starts to be a bit "tight" so I would like to swap the 16 MB module to 32 MB. The problem is that nowadays that old components are hardly available...
