SMS/MMS Texting from the Web

07/08/2008 9:12 PM

I have a project where I would like to send a text message(SMS or MMS) to any cellphone in the world from my website. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Hello jovan

I sincerely hope you are not intending to text everyone.

Kind Regards....

Hello jovan,

I have sent texts to America using Yahoo. But it was a while ago.

You could set up a yahoo or google text account and, if you know someone abroad send them a text to see if it works?

You do realise some mobile phone Tariffs charge to 'receive' texts as well as to send them? Could end up getting pretty expensive.

If you had pictures in mind as well you could set up accounts and work through 'my tube' is it? Or any similar site.

Not all carriers allow that. So your "any cellphone in the world" goal is, right now, not achievable.

Any or all is the key here. If all is your intention, then DO NOT.

Try ThinMail.com or Ipipi.com.

I use both of these services for email-to-SMS or email-to-Voice services. ThinMail does web integration, not sure on Ipipi.
