Can any body explain for me what's diffrent between Flat(DIN 1017) and Plate(DIN EN 10029)

I am not 100% sure, but for structural engineers:

- flat is typically a long rolled flat piece of steel. it will generally have slight raised corners due to the rolling process. flat widths are of the order of 13mm to 50mm. flat thicknesses are 3mm to 20mm.

- plate is large rolled steel plate. can come in rolls (bobbins) or can come as flat sheets. dimensions are very varied depending on the thickness. thickness is typically from 3mm upto 20mm but greater thicknesses are available upto 100mm and more (sometimes limited by the type of steel used). thinner sheets are more likely to be termed gauged steel and not measured by their metric thickness but by their gauge. see gauge converter.
