Font having numbers with 'Repeat' line above...?

07/14/2008 10:45 AM

I've gone bug-eyed googling every combination of words that I could think of. And yes, I've searched every font on my systems (using Character map) and looked at hundreds of fonts available for download... all to no avail.

Does anybody know of a font that has numbers like these (bitmap image)?

There's gotta be such a thing. Hope somebody can save me wasting any more hours than I already have spent! Thanks, and Best Regards to all ~

Here are some sites to help you make your own fonts - some are freebies, some are payfors, but you should be able to get a result from one of them.

http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/

I just downloaded a program called font creator (30 day trial): The proforma I used included all the numbers but the letters are blank: I don't know why. If you send me your E-Mail address I will send you the .ttf file I created. It works in Word and Open Office.

If I get time I will try to figure out how to do the letters as well.

I've often looked for overlining fonts myself: in documentation and circuit diagrams we frequently use overline to mean NOT (the inverse of the signal with the name not overlined).

Outstanding!!! Just inserted the file into my Windows\Fonts directory, and (using Word) typed a few examples of how I typically need to use it, and it's GREAT!

Thanks-a-Million Randall!

Thank you for the original question Tom,

I've now created a set of most of the common overline / overbar characters using Times New Roman as the starting point.

The font creator program from http://www.high-logic.com/fontcreator.html is absolutely brilliant.
