Stacklite control in a factory

07/17/2008 9:29 AM

I have a series of stacklites I want to use to provide takt time feedback to operators on a production line. Each stacklite has a red, green, and amber light (120V AC) as well as a buzzer.

I am looking to have an LED display show a countdown of the available cycle time (1 hr) and trigger the change in lights from green to yellow at a programmable time (15 mins remaining) and the buzzer to sound at the completion of the time.

Each operator will have a pull cord switch to activate the red light if a problem occurs.

Any suggestions on a product (programmable LED Display with relays?) that could provide these control functions?

Thanks - Jim

Omron has a new series of programmable timers and relays. All you need to do is write the logic program the relays and bingo. Paralell the outputs to both the light and LED screen.

Hope this helps
