nanotechnology and steel

Does anyone know of any new advances or breakthroughs with using nanotechnology to improve the mechanical properties of steel.

I have seen some data on this cryo treatment on brake parts on military vehicles deployed in middle east . extends life by multiples of untreated life.

I have used some cryo treated disposable razors, and found they out lasted normal by 3 to 4X .
