Hello, i am a Commercial diver for our family business and also dive for a prop seal specialist that services the Great Lakes area boats as well as around the world. i am interested in trying to build a self controlled camera apparatus that can go to depth. We already have the 'Splash Cam" setup that runs on a 150' cable. I am going to school for engineering and this is just more of a hobby for me than it is a crucial piece of machinery for the business. as i mentioned,we use the splash cam setup that is phenomenal for inspections and finding certain things before we descend, but the camera requires a diver to carry it around. Im not trying to put myself out of business..lol, but like i say this project is more of a hobby of mine. Main concepts i have to simplify into ideas:
Has to carry 30 gal. pony bottle for buoyancy control with elec. purge and exhaust
(not 30 gal drum.. size is about 3.5" dia 18"L
Main Frame
Elec. motors that will power small props for agility.
this unit will have a cord running to it for the camera, any ideas or main concepts will help thank you!
