Material use for bumper..

What is recently material use to make a bumper for car? Then, what is a good material or new technologies use in developing the bumper..

From what I see these days, bumpers are not what they used to be. Today I see a lot of continous glass reinforced polypropylene(GRPP) in the new cars, looks good but don't go pushing your friends to start thier cars.The processes are normally glass/PP prepreg and compression or vacuum forming methods.
