I am looking for an x-ray tool that will take images for download to pc. This would be used to inspect art paintings as well as paper documents. I am aware of portable spectrometers used for paint and coating thickness, etc. however, mainly interested in portable handheld x-ray device for field use that would maintain images that can be digital and downloaded to a personal computer. My email address is billkinzer@yahoo.com. Do you have any recommendations? My web search came up with your website but the device used did not come up in the search engine at globalspec website. Thanks for your attention.

Bill

I still have the Xray glasses that I bought through the mail a few years back. I might be able to lend them to you, but I need them back before the next high school reunion.

Similar x-ray machines are used to inspect electronic boards. Contact an electronic test equipment manufacturer for details. You should find many on the web.

Bil, Where are you located? that is the main question. After that i can point you in the right direction for a machine that fill your requirments.

I'd check with Siemens. Digital x-ray images are becoming more common in the medical field, but I've not heard of a hand-held portable unit.
