Looking for supplier of large quantities [100kg +]

08/04/2008 3:24 PM

Ok, so I'm back dancing as fast as I can--I'm looking for suppliers for larger quantities of Tellurium, Bismuth, Antimony and Selenium, in 100+ kg lots, at 99.99% refinement...

ASARCO is not helpful, and places like Alfa Aesar, Noah Technologies, Goodfellow all offer small quantities at VERY high prices Yeah, I know--cry me a river and all that! Still, if anyone might offer suggestions on who(m) may offer such items in said quantities, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Recyclers like Hydromet Environmental Recovery have potential, but I'm afraid they will not support my large need;

But thanks for the suggestion!

I'm presuming you've already done an exhaustive search of GlobalSpec here...

Unfortunately, GlobalSpec hasn't been much help--I'm getting results for component suppliers and manufacturers, and alloyed metals, but not the "raw" materials I'm looking for...

I'm probably not asking in the right way...

Johnson Matthey and Alfa Aesar are one and the same now.

Well, about wafers for semiconductors, that is for sure I mostly need Tellurium, which is in high demand EVERYWHERE, We may need to secure our own mine... Maybe I should ask if anyone knows of a good copper mine for sale!
