Guest: A few years I worked as maintenance Foreman in a large Corporation. I found a large perportion of the 3 Phase AC motors, the 3 Phase Amp draw was out of balance. I took them apart, and found that the Core of the Armature, and the Core of the Stator was off by an eighth to one quarter inch. I just put the armature in a press, and slid the Windings the Necessary Distance down the rotor shaft to put both cores in exact alignment. Phase current was then balanced. I called the National Distributor, and brought him out to my factory, and showed him the problem, and solution. He was shocked, and told me he would have to send every technician back to New York to school, with revamped class on armatures, to include the Rotor-Stator alignment.

Just something to look for. Good Luck! Fris.
