I've been asked to design a cleaning system that will comprise a holding tank of sulfuric acid at 95% concentration at 60 degrees celcius. The parts will be loaded into the wash tank after which the acid will be pumped up to a known level after which these parts will simple soak for 20 mins. The acid is then allowed to drain back into the holding tank after which the tank will again fill with de-ionised water at 50 degrees celcius for another 20 minutes before being put to drain. This is the basic process. The parts will then go onto ultrasonic cleaning etc. My concerns are the actual materials I should use, not only for the holding tank, but also for the wash tank itself, piping and pumps etc. I am also of the opinion that after every cycle there should be a drying cycle to remove any water residue to avoid cross contamination. Any help anyone please??
