I think you've been whacked. I've seen this happen before, with Case391, ( the # may not be right ), but most know who I'm talking about). I thought the editor took care of this, Contact Chris Leonard.

This is just not right.

In this age of environmental correctness it was deemed unnecessary for you to drag around the extra weight. Those GAs have been recycled for others to enjoy.

Hi Sidevalveguru,

Browsing through our logs, no one has rated any of your posts over the last three days. We're doing some diagnostics to see if its a systemic issue.

Thanx, Chris!

Am not sure of the exact timing, don't check that stat every time i logon (really!, it's not the centre of my life). Event may have happened as long as 2 wk ago. Count also a guesstimate, too.

Best wishes to all who frequent this site; it's been a pleasure to 'meet' all of you!

You have broadened my horizon immeasureably. (& answered a few questions, to boot)

Why do you care about this whole rating thing?

It is very subjective and doesn't reflect the quality of the information you present or the skills by which you communicate the information. I have seen people posting who receive a 5 on a post that do not relate to anything in the discussion, are grammatically at a 1st or 2nd grade level, are technically incorrect, and are sometimes just blatant direct personal attacks on others (without cause). I have sen some of these posted and within a couple of minutes receive a 5 rating, from who knows where because they make no sense. Which leads me to suspect a few people on this service, have a tendency to promote their own discourse by posting then logging as another and just rating their own post to gain credibility, as this is a common practice occurring amongst other services. You really just need to know enough science and engineering to sort through the mass of bad information to gleem that which is accurate and applicable.
