Gas/Steel/Dual Dampered - Springs

I am looking for a particular type of gas or metal spring that would allow a 3lb door, 16" from pivot to top of door which opens downward, to open AND close at the same (controlled) rate of speed. It should be 20lb, 10"(+/-) E/L, 3"(+/-) stroke, ball joint ends included. Does anyone know if this exists?

Check out Magnus Mobility Systems. I think Part #752614 may work for your application.
