DC Servo driver

08/13/2008 2:43 PM

I want to build my own dc servo driver but running into terminology problems. Listed below are devices I'm working with.

Controller:

I have a NI PCI7344 Stepper/Servo card. I want to use the +/-10 analog output.

Motor:

I am using a 12Vdc 2amp servomotor (Not sure if brush or brushless).

Driver:

I want to build my own dc servo driver using discrete components, but having no luck finding a simple design circuit. Can you help?

Regards,

Don

Yeh, the L290 chip is quite old, but still highly used, and quite easily available ;o)
