Design a Crane

hello sir

i am a mechanical engineer , studying in 7th semester and want to design a crane as a major project in my final year so if you can provide manual or other material then i would be obliged

Cranes are very difficult to design. Their long necks are inherently unstable and this, coupled with their long legs and beaks can make for some spectacular (although hilarious) disasters.

I suggest you first start off with designing a flightless bird - probably an Inacessable Island Rail or a Takahe. Then work your way through duck, hawk then crane.

Depends on what you what to design.

Google "International Crane Association" in Baraboo Wisconsin, or "Crane Manufacturers Association" Manual #70.
