Welding Mat with Scale

08/19/2008 11:21 AM

I'm looking for a thin matt or scale that I can place under a propane tank in a propane cabnet that has 1 inch of clearence at top. The matt can have a analog, digital or color reading to indicate the weight of the tank, thus the amount of gas in tank. Is there anything out there that can do this at reasonable price.

A temperature sensitive abhesive strip is available that is stuck vertically on the tank & indicates the percentage innage of liquid in the tank. Calculate the weight from the density of the liquid & the indicated %. Check with local Propane dealer.

I bought a new propane tank today, and the thing actually had a gas gauge on it. I have waited years for that.
