i could find the compressor range of high power in kaeser what i needed was a flow of 250lpm and pressure of 22psi is sufficient if i go beyond this range i may get the noise facor and i have to design my ups power back higher than that , which may cost unnesserly

Please clarify...are not O₂ generators already widely available, OTS? What need for compressor? Is this actually to be an infant ventilator? Ventilators are also available already. For use in hospital/clinic setting? Or home and in the "field"? Why a need to "develop" something new? Have you checked with any manufacturers of existing O₂ generators &/or ventilators? Please note, ventilators are sometimes erroneously referred to as "respirators." So search both words for information.

We have designed something similar for medical research about 17 years ago.... However, the 'compressor' was not noise free and I doubt if you will find anything suitable that is without noise....

What we did was house the compressor in a noise reducing cabinet and mount it remotely from the patient.

john wether you have did this 15 years before i am happy to hear this ,ok at that time there may not be compressors of noise less type but now there are quite a lot i think. I think you might be aware of compressor sourcing regarding medical application , if so pls specify it .

Exact plan is that to make an oxygen generator (infant ventilator) which has an inbuilt compressor & a backup ups supply with an oxygen generating unit . the specified flow output requirement for our product is 0 to 15 lpm. The sample we have is of 3 & 5 lpm out put. for which the compressor should supply 90 lpm of air input

for our product we need 250 lpm approx. The common compressor range available is 150 lpm maximum after which it is rare to find in market.

A good ventilation system for your roof will have an air intake hose along with an exhaust hose. This system works to provide adequate ventilation of air both within the roof and under it. your thinking is right about use of ventilation in medical field.

I'd suggest beginning with a search for scroll compressors. These have (usually) only one moving part, and they are often oil-free because the moving and stationary halves don't touch one another. One company there already offers them for medical use, but you may need a custom size or drive means.

I have some experience with supplying Breathing Air and O2 for patient use in a hospital. Earlier replies indicate that compressors on the market provide too large or a flow, I concure. The arrangement I am familiar with is utilizing a standard compressor (with more capacity than required) located away from the patient and metering the required amount of breathing air to the patient. O2 was metered from a high pressure O2 bottle. The breathing air and O2 was blended by the resperatory specialist in the patients room.

A company like Sundyne develops small flow high speed compressors, but they are very, very expensive.

your concern for the medical oil free compressor for the infant area is intresting, i would like to make you aware that these comresssors are no more use in europe , these oil free compressors are having graphite packing seal or lining on the pistons for lubrication but garphite content in ppm in air will cause cancer so Europian Norms (EN) halted the use of these compressors. you can achive the medical quality of air through proper filteration of air by providing series of filters reducing to ppm of hydro-carbons. the best way to have zero ppm hydro-carbon is to have oxygen compressed gas cylinders or by the liquid oxygen tank and this procedure is used world wide. if you further feel to know about the oil free compressor manufacturer you can contact BECON MEDAS, USA. the only oil free compressor manufacturer company.

Thank you for the information shareef, i would like to get more suggession from all medical,mechanical as well as other catagory friends too.

But the main purpose of coming to the product is to eleminate the use of high pressurised oxygen cylinders because if it explodes it can cause a serious damage , and it has high probability of explotion too but in this type we dont have that sort of danger. If you feel graphite content can be controled in any of the filteration manners you can suggest me over it. I would like to discuss further with you regarding it .
