Citroen C3 1.6 SensoDrive

08/28/2008 10:44 PM

Dear All,

Please teach me how to replace the clutch plate and the timing belt. I would prefer changing it myself rather than send it to the SC

Many thanks.

It would be difficult to teach you about the entire process on line. However, you can by the service manual for the car, and read through the processes for timing belt replacement and clutch replacement. Many of these manuals (especially the factory manuals) are quite thorough. You'll find that you may need a few special tools (one for centering the clutch plate, for example) but not many are likely to be required for these jobs.

These are both fairly major jobs, and the timing belt replacement carries some risk (possible engine damage if done incorrectly) if you are new to working on cars. Be careful.
