09/28/2006 12:25 AM

We have 3 stage high pressure compressor producing 4 MPa,which is collected in the tank. There is option for condensate drain in the tank. Also option for the 2nd stage auto & 3rd stage manual drain.

Now problem is their is always water found in the lubricating oil in huge amount.

if any body have faced such problem than suggest me solution.

If you have humidity in the air and you are lubricating the pressure end of a compressor, auto drains interstage are a good idea. The water being found in the oil supply can be minimized by purging the supply tank. Additionally, locating the oil outlet a few inches above the bottom of the oil supply tank will allow the water to settle in the bottom of the tank and can drained periodically.
