Additive for rubber

09/09/2008 5:30 AM

Can you help me?

I found some additive rubber of Struktol ( WB 212,WB 16,WB 48..) on the internet but I don't understand clearly about it? It's mean that If I don't use them in my formulation. What will happen? Do I really need to use it ?

Look forward to hear from you

Thank you very much

Best Regards,

Tran Cong Minh

Depends on the application.

Natural Rubber seals in a auto transmission for instance if exposed to brake fliud will swell out of the seal casing.

Other rubber products will get hard and crack or break with the least viberation and be useless.

The three you list are processing aids, designed to make the rubber flow into the mold better and improve mold release, and not to have any effect on final properties.

You don't really need them, but might find they improve your productivity. Or not.

Thank for all your comment.

These things helped me a lot. If I would like to find suppliers about additive for rubbers

Which suppliers should I contact? I would like to find specially suppliers for special application. such as weathertrip, auto-part.

Have you ever hear Rhenofic C ( absorb moisture)? How can we use it?

Thank you very much
