I am a big fan of the three-tag system. All incoming product in placed in a holding area for QC inspection and a tag attached with green, yellow, and red tear-offs attached to it. So long as the red tear-off is still attached, the product is not allowed to move into inventory. Upon inspection (based upon whatever parameters your company decides are critical), passing product has the red and yellow tags removed and goes into inventory with the green tag still attached. Failing product retains the red tag and is moved to an area for return to the vendor. Product that may or may not pass has the red tag removed and the yellow tag signifies QC hold until it's status can be determined.

Is that what you were looking for?

I believe what you're asking for is a "generic" form.

Well, the truth of the matter is, that an SOP is specific to your organization's practices. You need to discuss with the powers that be, to determine how you want to except material, store material and verify spec of recv'd material.

Also you need to consider the criteria required from any accrediting agency you are certified in. More than likely, they have specific criteria regarding minimum control with material received.
