How to calculate seismic forces (horizontal & Vertical) on holding clamp to hold EOT Crane with Gantry Rail during earthquake?

This can be rather involved. Refer to ASCE7-05 for some guidance. Off the top you will need to know the earthquake magnitude you are designing for. To get familiar with the development of the mathematical model for your problem refer to any text on vibration analysis.
