You could put the folders you want to protect into passworded zip files

Hello "Guest",

Do you intend a single Password for all Folders, or a separate password for each Folder?

You have not advised your Operating System, and that will determine what "Password Manager" or system you may use.

Refer: http://www.roboform.com/php/land.php?affid=geug0&frm=frame36&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=roboform

That one is free for use, why not give it a whirl in your Computer.

There are other "Password Managers" easily available, just look around until you locate one you like.

Kind Regards....

You might like this one ****** but personally this **************** is my favorite.

As sparkstation says, there are plenty of free ones available. Google for password protection software.
