about pqr of tube to tube sheet

09/27/2008 11:49 AM

I have to do procedure qualification for tube #tube sheet joint for my two different jobs, but both having different O/D of the tube & pitch(one is having square & oher one is having triangular pitch) but wall thickness is same in both,

My question is "one PQR is enough for two job ( in that case I am considering small O/D of the tube) or It require two PQR's for two different jobs?

If the range of thicknesses and range of diameters of tubes (same P-Nos.) is the same and -in the same time- the range of thicknesses of tubesheets (same P-Nos.) is the same, in this case a WPS(s) and PQR(s) can cover both of jobs, whatever the type of pitches. Please refer to ASME Code, Section IX for any details.
