AC&R Industry Standard - Refrigeration Pipe

10/01/2008 9:35 AM

The application is for refrigerant only (no hydronic).

I understand ASTM B88 (i.e. Type K) is not the standard for AC&R industry in US, but ASTM B280 is the standard for refrigeration systems.

Can you provide evidence that substantiates the AC&R industries standard is ASTM B280?

Evidence in the transportation (railway) industry is of particular interest.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the provided information and link to the ASTM web site. Is is quite helpful and should help make our case that B88 should not be specified as a refrigeration pipe.

Thanks again
