The equivalent to this standard is known as "EP gear oil" also known as "Conventional Gear Oil" in the USA, and "aceite EP cualunque" in Latin America.

The specification DIN 51517 part 3 is the one that describes the CLP oil where

C stands for circulating oils acc. DIN 51517 part 1,

CL is for rust and oxidation inhibited oil Also KNown As R&O, and

CLP are the gear oils with extreme pressure.

viscosities are standard according the ISO viscosity grades 68, 100, 150, 220, 320, 460, and 680

THere is no equivalent norm to DIN 51517 in ASTM, JIS, or others, (that I know of), that is compounding a series of lubricant test norms into a full specification like the 51517. THere are equivalent ASTM to the individual DIN specs that are part of this DIN 51517 norm.
