Hi,

I'm working as a quality engr, in automobile company.

Recently, we encountered the sujected problem with our customer.

i.e., our transformer is mounted over the PCB & the glue(structlite) which is applied over PCB for fixing ,unknowingly hit with the copper wire & this results to short circuit under normal operating condition.

Now, I'm interested to know, Is enamel of copper wire get influenced & damaged with the glue?

Convey your understandings & solution to come out from this issue!!!!

Hello Guest,

Because you have not advised the supplier of your copper wire, nor the actual enamel coating of that wire, it is not possible to give you a proper answer.

Best suggestion would be to contact the makers of the enamelled copper wire and advise of the problem.

Their chemists can then test that glue with their product.

These days it is possible to obtain copper winding wire which has a glass coating.

But even so, that may be a component in that glue which damages glass and/or copper.

The wire makers are the best people to advise for their own product.

Kind Regards....
