Water jet deburring for gears

10/05/2008 11:07 PM

I am currently working on a project of water jet deburring of gears. I have a few questions related to that

1. What should be the water pressure for it.

2. which are the pump suppliers in Europe who are really good in it.Price is of no issue

3. Are there any site related to water jet deburring and its construction

[P.S- Please treat it as urgent ]

Many years ago, I used ABB robots (Swedish company) fitted with Ingersoll Rand waterjet cutting equipment. My application was quite different from yours, which was cutting automotive flooring, pressure - ~45,000 to ~50,000 psi through a 0.006 inch orfice.

The point of my reply was to give you two companies to contact, that may be able to help you, ABB and Ingersoll-Rand. My application was cutting, but they should have someone within Sales/Applications that could work through the details with you.
