10/08/2006 2:27 AM

Does anyone know the part # of an 8 pin IC having 1stVcc (+ve5v), 8th Ground, 6th & 7th out puts -each 4.8v for a minute by triggering 4th pin? This IC is used to close the relays to run the 2 no of dental chair motors.

No numbers on the IC? Almost every IC has a part number etched in top of it. Sometimes they can be hard to see. I usually swipe a little white heatsink grease on top to make the number more visible but make sure to rid yourself of static.

No luck with the manufacturer?

Sure sounds like a 555 or similar timer chip, with the pin numbers backwards. With the dot or notch on your left, top view, Pin 1 is lower left and pin 8 is upper left. If you are looking at the bottom, the dot or notch is on your right when pin 1 is bottom right & pin 8 is top right.
