Cryogenic vs High Pressure gas storage

10/14/2008 7:05 AM

I am looking for the pros and cons of each storage type and wanted to know if there were any good resources for learning the basics of cryogenic storage. And the quantities for storage are listed below:

Liquid Hydrogen: ~20,000 gallons

Liquid Oxygen: ~10,000 gallons

Thanks,

Kenny

For cryogenic storage, you need to maintain the temperature at crtougenic temperatures. You may need refrigeration system and thickinsulation. For pressureized tank, you will need to have very thick plates for your shell.
