Finally a Car that Creates its Own Energy

10/15/2008 8:44 PM

No, not electricty, but creates energy, as stated on the web site.

"The car that can generate its own energy - that's the Toyota Prius."

http://www.agl.com.au/home/EnergyPlans/Pages/WinACar.aspx

I feel like reporting them for false advertising, as Energy can only be converted, not created.

magniloquence ... I like that. In USA it's called puffing, or puffery ... to make it legitimate somehow ... and unreportable/non-actionable.

Hi Snaketails,

You're right. The problem is we (well, at least me) have no time enough in an average long live to report all false advertising.

That's the reason I use to record TV programs (really very few) and watch it later using one of the most appreciated devices: the Fast Forward button.

Kind regards

Report 'em if you like, but it's likely a waste of time.

We technical people see this for what it really is, but the non-technical are easily swayed.

That's the way us political experts feel.

Subject: Now isn't this something to think about? Pretty simply Put!

If Barack Obama would apply for a job with the FBI or with the Secret Service, he would be disqualified because of his past association with William Ayers, a known terrorist.

If he is elected President he would not qualify to be his own Body Guard.

My favorite is NEW and IMPROVED.

How can you improve something that is new?

It has to pre-exist (not new) before it can be improved.

u r wrong, the meaning of "it can generate its own energy" is as when the car is in motion, the mechanical energy which is going for waste is converterting into useful form, that they term as generation of own energy.

But in your reply, your saying that its "Converting" from 1 energy to another, creation of Energy is different.

Sorry but according to Toyota's web site it dose not create its own energy. The3 web page goes on to state:

What is Prius' fuel economy?

Thanks to its sleek aerodynamic shape and amazing Hybrid Synergy Drive® powertrain, the 2009 Prius is one of the most fuel-efficient cars on the market. Prius has an EPA-estimated combined city/highway average rating of 46 mpg [6]. For more on EPA mpg ratings and tips on how to maximize your fuel economy, visit the Prius Fuel Economy fact sheet.

The web add you gave was from another company trying to sell they're product with a give away promotion.

H brentwfsmith,

I think that he meant to say, "The Prius generates electricity when the motor becomes a generator during the braking of the machine, and the power being generated by "braking deceleration energy" is conserved and transmitted into the storage capacitors or batteries as potential energy.

Am I in the ball Park with my answer?

Speaking of conserving energy, search for the "Pickens Plan" in the EE section, and get up to date with UFO propulsion enregy devices through "reverse engineering". We create some real energy over there.
