MV-Panels and MCC for chillers

Can you please explain to me whats the difference between an MV-panel and a MCC ??

Dear,

MCC means Motor Control Centres and MV stands for Meduim voltage level.

Normally MCC used for motor upto 1.1kv and MV ranges between 1.1kV to 33kv.

Above 33kv, HV appears.

( LV-HV also used for transformer winding indentifiction where above figures

might be wrong)

Dear Substation 15 thank you for your answer...

can you please explain to me whats the operation difference between mcc and mv for a chiller?? if you replace the mcc for chillers with 2500A acb with protection for chiller.. whats the difference??

Dear,

MCC is the bunch of motor feeders from where you can control power to connected

motors, that's why it is called Motor Control Centre.

MV panel is PCC bus ( Power control centre), comprises of HT btreakers which

controls power to transformers/MCC's/HT motors.

You can't replace MCC with single ACB.
